Once upon a time, there was a young man – Billy Tsakiris, who grew up working in restaurants with his father and Mama Katie. Mama Katie owned restaurants with names that ended with ‘teca’. She often joked that if she could do it all over again, she would name all her restaurants Mixteca Mexican Food.
And that’s how it all began. With a love for family recipes and a vision to carry out Mama Katie’s legacy, Billy Tsakiris started Mixteca 30 years ago.
Apart from the rich, authentic flavors, The Mixteca Mexican Food philosophy is rich in family history and values. All our choice meats are fresh, never frozen. At the crack of dawn, each morning, you could even hear our prep cooks make fresh pico de gallo, salsas, and sauces.
